Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will explore the origins, beliefs, and religious practices of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, examining how all three faiths trace their roots to Abraham and the ancient Near East. They will analyse the similarities and differences between these Abrahamic religions, including their sacred texts, places of worship, leadership structures, and global spread from the ancient world through to the early Middle Ages. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, source analysis, research, and watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
