In this lesson, students will learn the basic timeline of Ancient Egypt from around 3100 BC to 30 BC, including why Cleopatra VII’s death led to Roman rule. Students will also learn how the Nile’s floods, fertile soil, and transport routes supported farming and travel, and how dynasties and the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms help historians organise Egyptian history. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, source analysis, research and watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
