In this lesson, dents will examine how the economic growth of the 1920s produced new consumer cultures and new tensions within American society. They will explore why the prosperity of the decade was not shared equally, and investigate the social unrest that developed alongside the era's famous culture of wealth and celebration. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, source analysis, and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
