In this lesson, students will examine the religious beliefs and practices of the Inca Empire, focusing on the gods they worshipped, the ceremonies they conducted, and the sacred sites they built. They will also explore how religion shaped political authority in Inca society, particularly through the belief that rulers were descended from Inti, the Sun God. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
