Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will examine the key turning points that led to the Allied victory in Europe during World War Two. They will explore the D-Day landings, the Battle of the Bulge, and the fall of Berlin to understand how military pressure from multiple directions forced Germany's surrender in May 1945. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
