In this lesson, students will examine the development of Australian television from its first broadcast in 1956 through to the challenges it faces in the streaming era. They will explore how the growth of new channels, changes in broadcast technology, and shifts in government policy altered the way Australians accessed and consumed media over seven decades. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
