Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will learn why Napoleon invaded Egypt and how the campaign unfolded through a mix of military victories, scientific research, and eventual defeat. They will examine the reasons for the invasion, the challenges faced by the French, and how Napoleon used the events to increase his political power in France.
