Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will gain an in-depth understanding of the pivotal events and strategies of 1918 that led to the end of World War I, including America's entry into the conflict, the adoption of combined arms warfare, and the significant offensives from both sides. They will also explore the lasting impact of the Treaty of Versailles, examining how it shaped post-war Europe and set the stage for future global conflicts. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
