Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will learn about the Greek Dark Age, exploring the significant cultural, political, and social transformations that occurred during this period. They will examine the causes of the Mycenaean civilization's collapse, the rise of city-states, and the emergence of foundational elements such as the Greek alphabet, Geometric art, and the Olympic Games. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
