Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will learn about the causes, key events, and outcomes of the Social War, including the significant political and social changes it brought to the Roman Republic. They will also explore the roles of important figures and the impact of the conflict on Rome's relationship with its Italian allies. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
