In this lesson, students will develop an understanding of the political, social, and military dynamics that led to the formation of the Second Triumvirate, including the motivations of Octavian, Mark Antony, and Lepidus. They will also explore the major actions and policies implemented during this period, including the proscriptions, the division of Roman territories, and the significant battles such as the Battle of Philippi and Actium. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
