Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will learn about the legendary and historical origins of Rome, including the myths of Romulus and Remus, the influence of the Trojan hero Aeneas, and the early archaeological evidence of Rome's development. They will also explore the transition from monarchy to republic and the significant cultural and political foundations laid during Rome's formative years. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
