In this lesson, students will learn about the different theories about the causes of the sudden death of Alexander the Great. They will also explore the historical significance of the Hellenistic Period that followed his death, marked by the division of his empire among his generals and the spread of Greek culture across Asia and Egypt. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
