Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will learn about the diverse roles and contributions of Aztec women in their society, exploring their responsibilities in family life, economic activities, religious practices, and even warfare. They will also examine the impact of the Spanish Conquest on Aztec women and the ways in which they navigated and adapted to the changes brought about by this historical event. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, including reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
